"I just want to send a quick note to thank you for an excellent pheasant hunt last week. The LG Seed Management Team, plus our Regional Business Directors, all had a great time. We really enjoy hunting 100% wild birds rather than released pheasants, especially after a little warm up on our shooting skills.
Kristie, I want to say a special thanks to you for all the effort you put in to help with hotel arrangements and also for the great appetizer spread after our Tuesday hunt. No one went home hungry and you were right, we did not have to go out for dinner that night. I know my team would like to make this an annual event, so we will need to discuss getting a booking for next year." |

hunting trips, on occasion, the anticipation is better than the
actual hunt. Our trip to Aberdeen, SD was Better Than We Could Have Ever Imagined! Cam and Kristie Wyly were outstanding hosts! Our hunting adventure began when we reached the Wyly Ranch. I honestly don't know how the trip could be much better. The day usually started with one of Kristie's superb lunches, home-cooked!!! Then out to the field we went. Cam clearly knew where the pheasants were located on his 1000's of acres.....and we found them, lots of them. We limited each day in just a few hours. (Could have been even fewer hours if our aim was better!) Our three days will be remembered for a long time. Not only did we experience the finest hunting but Kristie and Cam made us feel like one of the family with their hospitality. "We
have often seen flocks of waterfowl; but we have never seen flocks
of pheasants until we experienced hunting at Wyly Farm and Ranch.
We have walked many C.R.P. fields and they have almost always produced some shooting; but walking Cam's C.R.P. with food plots was absolutely unbelievable! As we began the C.R.P. (make sure your pockets are full of shells) the wild birds just kept rising and rising...we thought for sure we had blown them all out of their heavy cover. But we were dead wrong. Cam's outstanding German short hair and our yellow pointing Lab went to work. They discovered all those birds (and there were lots of them) that decided to stay put. And oh! Were those birds sorry; most of them anyway. In addition to the C.R.P. fields, Cam also has corn fields and slough bottoms inhabited by an abundance of pheasants. As an added bonus there is a good chance that you will get a shot at a sharp tailed grouse while hunting pheasants. Time
spent hunting with Cam is always quality time. It's
what memories are made of. Cam has a knack for making people feel
good. His passion for hunting and shooting is contagious. He is
always in tune to keeping his hunters happy. And while Cam is taking
care of his hunters his wife, Kristie is doing what she does so very
well; preparing a variety of her favorite recipes to share with the
hunters after the hunt. And while sitting at the table enjoying the
wonderful food, flashbacks of the day are reminisced...the hundreds
of birds, the great shots, the fantastic retrievers, the shots
missed and the birds that got away...saved for another day!" |

October we had the wonderful opportunity to hunt the Wyly Farm and
Ranch for wild native pheasant. We
can't say enough about the wonderful hunt we experienced.
Cam is a great guide with a lot of patience and a great sense of
humor. We had no idea of what to expect and we were totally
overwhelmed by the number of birds we saw. Our hunt was an amazing
experience and we are looking forward to our hunt this coming fall."

I've been in the outfitter business for over 30 years and thought your operation was first class! The dogs worked really well and the number of birds was unbelievable. Mike, Lynn and myself have talked and enjoyed our hunt several times since, just reliving the action. We'd like to book next year now. We will be there in the fall and our group has gotten larger.
